With current business owners feeling the sting of a harsh financial climate right now, an even bigger pressure is on for anyone who is in the process of setting up their own enterprise. Without the monetary resources for self-promotion, how can a fledgling business expect to attract the customers it so desperately needs to attain its financial goals?
Considering that there are so many small businesses in need of this awareness, second hand car seller Motors.co.uk set up a nationwide hunt to find its Most Deserving Business – a campaign which has sought to throw the spotlight on the small businesses which have not only flourished amid the economic downturn, but have also gone above and beyond to serve their local community – as seen by the many tributes sent in by friends and customers who have recommended them for nomination.
The amount of nominations received from customers so touched by the competitors’ community spirit is what made it so hard to narrow down the field of ten to just three finalists – but the Motors.co.uk judges eventually made it happen and on Monday 10th June the winner was announced.
David Reed, founder of Fizz Pop Science was crowned the Most Deserving Business for his inventive science workshops for kids. He educates local youth groups and schools with a dazzling science road show, and will use the funds to take his show to another level.
The prize fund is worth in excess of £10,000 which would provide a much-needed boost to any start-up business. Along with the title, our winner will receive a Ford Transit van with fully-paid up road tax and a full tank of fuel –transporting materials is of such importance to our winner – while the van will also carry the winners’ business logo on the side to get the message out.
Visitors to the website can find out more about Motors’ Most Deserving Business; it’s an award which any small business should be involved in next time in order to spread their message.
